When you are viewing the details page of a specific piece of content on the PlayStation Store, you will also be greeted with this new section which will highlight similar pieces of content based on the purchases of PSN users.

    The New Samsung LED Range

    April 15th, 2009

LED delivers dramatic contrast and richer, more vivid colours, while at the same time using less power than normal LCD TVs. The 7020 series also features Samsung’s innovative Crystal TV design and Media 2.0 technology for improved usability.

Standard LCD TVs use simple fluorescent backlighting lamps to illuminate the image on your TV screen. These fluorescent lamps are constantly turned on which means that when your TV displays black it can sometimes appear greyish. LED technology overcomes this problem by using multiple LED backlights to illuminate the screen. These lights can be turned off and on individually which means that blacks appear deeper and the contrast between light and dark colours is greatly improved.

In addition the much improved picture quality, the removal of bulky fluorescent tube lamps means that Samsung 7 Series TVs are much thinner than standard LCD TVs – measuring in at a super-slim 29.9mm.

Conventional TV displays visuals at 50Hz frame rate, which means it shows 50 still images per second. In this case, however, we sometimes can notice image blurring in fast moving scenes. To improve motion on the screen 100Hz Motion Plus technology doesn’t simply repeat images to make extra frames, it intelligently estimates the action, then creates and inserts an extra frame between frames to minimize blur in fast moving scenes and create a natural & fluid motion without blurring.

Through the insertion of this bridge frame, images appear seamless and the motion judder and image blurring that can occur when watching movies and sports is eliminated. Even the fastest action scenes are presented with precision and clarity.

The new 7 series LED TV is also super-slim and super-light making it ideal for wall mounting using Samsung’s innovative new wall mounting solution. And like the 7 series TVs, Samsung’s new wall mount is extremely slim, meaning that when mounted the TV screen sits only 2 inches from the wall.

Installation is easy with only one person required to wall mount the TV using a minimal number of screws and fixings. The 7 series TV can also be lifted away from the wall at the base and held using the flip-out to enable easy access to connection points.
